Das Archipel existiert seit August 2022 nicht mehr. Die Plattformen für gemeinsames Handeln auf den Gewässern Hamburgs haben sich aufgelöst. Die Betreiber/innengruppe, die sich zuletzt um die Inseln gekümmert hat, hat sich dazu entschieden, die Stahlpontons an andere Initiativen weiterzugeben. Die Pontons wurden an zwei gemeinnützige Vereine verschenkt: Hallo e.V. mit PARKS auf der Bille, und dem Verein für mobile Machenschaften e.V. mit der Schaluppe auf dem Ernst August Kanal.
Das Archipel bedankt sich bei den zahlreichen Spender/innen, die dieses Projekt ermöglicht haben. Ein besonderer Dank gilt der Liebelt-Stiftung, Hamburg, der Kulturstiftung Cafe Royal und der Stadtteilkultur des Bezirksamts Hamburg-Mitte; ohne Ihre mehrjährige Unterstützung hätte dieses Projekt nicht existieren können.
Das Archipel bedankt sich bei den hunderten von Menschen, die an das Projekt geglaubt haben und diese Orte mit ihrem Engagement und Idealismus zum Leben gebracht haben.

Das Archipel project does not exist anymore since august 2022. The platforms for collective action on the waters of Hamburg have dissolved. The last caretakers of the islands decided to hand over the steel-pontoons to other projects. The pontoons were donated to Hallo e.V. and PARKS as well as Verein für mobile Machenschaften and Schaluppe .
